The thing is that a lot of the people who are sick, starving, addicted to drugs or alcohol, unable to find work, etc if they had access to safe housing, probably wouldn’t be as sick or hungry or addicted or struggling to find work. You take away one of the biggest barriers to a group of marginalized people and you take away one of the biggest stress points.
Same goes with free healthcare.
If you’re okay with some people being homeless you’re okay with “those people” being homeless and therefore you are both okay with homelessness and also a bigot.
